The hull will be covered in two layers of 1.5 mm khaya mahogany veneers, giving the original hull planking a lot more strength. The diagonals at the bow are the first to go on as a trial run...
The first of the marine ply sub deck ahead of the cockpit is now glued and screwed to the deck beams and sheer planks. Strips of Douglas Fir will be glued on top later in the correct period pattern.
Normal service will be resumed as soon as possibly, but till then, here is some mega bling, Merry Maid bronze tiller, supper heavy but should look very cool...
